Project 1
The English consultancy Euromonitor International reveals that 30.8% of the liquor consumed in Peru is illegal. One in three bottles are adulterated. The illegal alcoholic beverages that circulate Peru are in 92% of cases distilled liquors, such as rum, pisco and whiskey.
According to National Institute for the Defence of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI) there are 523 producers of Pisco, of which 95% are artisanal producers. The exact number is actually unknown due to the large amount of unregistered producers, so it is interpreted that the regulation of Denomination of Origin of Pisco production cannot be implemented; as there is no organisation with the proper technology to enforce a regulatory system.
This project has 3 main objectives, they are:
- Create an online platform that utilises Blockchain technology and QR Codes assists all producers of Pisco.
- Provide the producers with the technology necessary to guarantee the quality and standard of their Pisco, relevant to the current regulations. Examples of vital machines include: Digital Refractometer, Ultrasonic Flow Meter, Industrial fabric filter; 2 servers, 10 PCs, 600 tablets, 600 wireless routers etc
- Provide organizations in charge of regulating and controlling the production of Pisco with a unique platform that monitors the entire Pisco production.
